AKTAU, Kazakhstan - Stepping beyond the typical beach and Caspian Sea allure, Aktau welcomes a vibrant new attraction: a stunning botanical garden, quickly becoming a must-see for locals and tourists alike. Opened just last month, the "Manas Park Botanical Garden" boasts a diverse collection of flora, representing both indigenous Kazakh species and plants from across the globe, creating a unique desert oasis.

Spanning over three hectares, the garden features themed sections, including a rose garden bursting with colour, a dedicated succulent area showcasing the resilience of desert plants, and a shaded relaxation zone offering respite from the Aktau sun.

"We wanted to create not just a beautiful space, but also an educational one," said Aigerim Muratova, the garden’s lead botanist. "Visitors can learn about the importance of biodiversity and the surprising adaptability of plants in arid environments."

The Manas Park Botanical Garden is open daily, offering guided tours and workshops on gardening and plant care.
